Compressor Controls & Functions:

Attack – Tight / Open

• Tight = Fast attack
• Open = Slow attack

Threshold – More EFX / No EFX

• Adjusts the threshold level, determining when compression is applied.

Release – Aggressive / Smooth

• Aggressive = Fast release
• Smooth = Slow release

Makeup Gain – Louder / Silence

• Louder increases the volume after compression.
• Silence lowers the output level.

Transparent Button

• Enables standard compression behavior without added tonal shaping.

Hype Button

• Introduces saturation, enhancing transients and creating a thicker, fuller sound.

Compression Ratios – Light → Medium → Heavy → Smash

• Light = 2:1
• Medium = 4:1
• Heavy = 8:1
• Smash = 50:1

Auto Gain Button

• Automatically compensates for volume loss caused by gain reduction, maintaining level consistency.

BEFORE installing your HMD plugin, you will need iLok (free to download).

Purchase of an iLok USB is not necessary—you only need your computer.

Look for a Blue Button that says Download iLok License Manager.
